Tekonsha Sentinel EBC
Does anyone have experience with the Tekonsha Sentinel Brake Controller? I found this in the back of a cabinet, so I'm wondering if it would be a good replacement for a Draw Tite Activator II. I realize it's not a Prodigy, but the price is right!
I do not know if it works, but it was taken out of our old Tioga MH, which we never pulled a trailer with electric brakes with it. I'm wondering if I should bother wiring it up to see if it works.

Tekonsha brake controller
Jon,
I think I still have a copy of the instruction manual that came with mine. I see if I can find it. I installed a Prodigy in my new truck.
Will get back to you.
Joe

Tekonsha Sentinel
Jon,
I just remembered that I downloaded a copy the instructions from the Tekonsha website. You should be able to get it from there. If not I can send you a copy.
Joe

We used a non-Prodigy Tekonsha controller for years. I don't recall the name of it but it worked perfectly well. We had to adjust it more often than we do our Prodigy, but once adjusted it worked like a champ.

Thanks Joe and Don. I'm pulling out my dad's toy hauler this weekend and am contemplating trying to install this Sentinel before the weekend. I'll see if I can find the instructions around here somewhere and if I can't, I'll find the one online. Joe, if I can't find it, I'll let you know. This particular controller was installed by the selling dealer of our Tioga, so I can't guarantee we even got instructions with it. All I know is it appears it was hardwired in and doesn't have a plug on it. That's why it's not a walk in the park to try it out.
