Sway Control

I need some help on adding a sway control bar. I have a 2005 T 2499 when in measure from the ball back 24 inches it puts me under the LP tank bracket, will that be a problem? We are going to start to travel more and I think I should add a sway control kit. Thanks for any help. My tow vehicle is a Dodge Durango 5.7 HEMI 3.92 with factory towing.

No problem at all as long as you can get the pin in and out. That is where most of them measure out at.

JohnB is on a distinguished road
As Dave said, most of the mini ball mounts end up under the LP tank bracket. It is OK as long as you have the clearance.

This is on the side of a Keystone Cougar TT

This pic is from the side of a 2004 T-2499 from one of our forum members campers. This A frame rail is 5" tall channel iron.

Your 2005 T-2499 most likely has a 4" tall channel iron A frame. That should still work OK. There are many of the smaller campers with these friction bars on them on 4" tall A frames.

Hope this helps

John
