Cargo Van as TV?

For multiple reasons, I am looking at getting a cargo van.

Just wondering if it would work as my tow vehicle?

I guess that would depend on the van and the trailer and how all the numbers match up. I've seen conversion vans towing TT's and some pretty big boats.

I've seen allot of vans pulling TT. You have to check the vans tow rating just like you would a pickup or SUV. I was parked beside a flooring contractor a few years ago using his work van as a TV.

My buddy has towed several TTs for over 50 yrs. using nothing but a van. His current van is a GMC extended body (I call it his FEMA truck) with tow package. It has load range E tires carring 80psi. His last trailer was a 19ft. Jayco and he could tow it w/o a WD hitch. The van is so heavily sprung he hauls rocks and gravel to work on his driveway.
So, yes, there are vans out there that will tow anything you'd care to hitch up.

JohnB is on a distinguished road
With the correct suspension and drive train, a full size van can made a good TV. Long wheel base and small rear overhang from rear axle to tow ball.

Again need to match us the van ratings as you do any TV, but a van can and does do a good job set up correctly.

As long as it is capable enough and doesn't say free candy on the side, go for it.
