Paul.............That harness in your glove box wires up your Prodigy perfectly. The directions tell you which color Prodigy wire goes with your Ford harness. If I can figure it out, anyone can. They will try to sell you a harness, you don't need it.........Ford already gave it to you.

Another secret I've found...........Get away from RV places when you are buying these non RV parts. They are waiting for you!!!! I went to an Appalachian Trailer dealer in Lebanon, PA and paid $99.00 for my Prodigy and didn't have to pay shipping or wait for it to come!!! For hitches I go to Weaver in Lancaster County (who will send you a nice catalog by calling 1-800-WEAVERD). I don't go to an RV store unless I need RV parts................I'm not that rich! Marshall

I was just on RVWholesalers website on saturday and they had the prodigy on sale for a few cents under 95 bux. But, I didn't notice what shipping might run. If shipping not too high, now days with the cost of fuel, depending on how far you would have to travel, it might be best to ship.

Marshall, I decided to get the harness because my Ex didn't come with an extra harness. Instead of chopping off the one that came with the old controller, I thought it would be easier to just get the harness from Cequent.

I've checked with Prodigy on the phone and confirmed on their website that it fits perfectly with the wiring harness that came with the Ford. I don't need to buy the harness from them. The $109 price at Camping World was good Sunday but not today (Monday). I'll wait a little but it seems that that's the way to go...... Buy the unit on line and install myself. $70.00 is a lot just to mount it under the dash.

Thanks again.

I got mine from these folks (etrailer.com) and they were quick and nice to deal with.

Funny though, they must have the Prodigy on sale- I got my Primus for ~$80 when I bought. Keep an eye on them- prices may vary.

I have the same one (actually I had mine first and he copied me)
seems to work ok

My controller uses the harness to plug into factory plug, works great

Little brother steals part of my photo and then says I copied him ???? :P :P :P

I am starting to agree with others about staying away from the RV dealers (as much as I like keeping my money local and with folks I trust 100%) when getting non-RV specific parts....there are better deals available out there with a few phone calls and some Google-ing

Prodigy Price Update:

The price is dropping faster than I thought. I just spotted a very reputable eBay seller (over 12,000 auctions and 100% feedback) who is selling a New In the Box Prodigy 2.6 with truck specific harness and no shipping charges for $111.00.

That's a pretty good deal at this point.
