Add on mirrors

Howdy folks and very Merry Christmas
The question is we have a Ford F150 King Ranch and now we have that T2499 we need to add extra mirros. Any suggestions? We believe we read somewhere that the slid ons are not a good choice. What other choices are there?

Ted

I used the CIPA slip-on mirrors,$45 @ Cabela's, for 3 years and thought they were a huge inprovement over the cheaper clip-on models that use the rubber strap. The new truck came with extendable towing mirrors so that eliminated my mirror issue. I've seen very good reviews for McKesh strap-on models, app $130. If you want to spend $300-$400, there are aftermarket replacement mirrors which work well and save the trouble of installing and removing mirrors each trip. Check Schefenacker, Power Vision Mirror and CIPA for these types.

Ted,
I have the Mckesh mirrors from Hensley Mfg. These are completely adjustable for length and you can also purchase the round convex mirrors for excellent vision to the rear. You can find them on the web. These mirrors attach to the window edge and straps to the bottom of the door. Once you adjust them for your view, you don't have to touch them again, just take them off and reattach them when you go out again.

Add On Mirrors

Ted; I have the CIPA slip-on mirrors that I use on my Silverado, and they work fine. I don't know how they would work on your F-150

We've used the CIPA slide-on mirrors for the past five years with good results. I painted them to match the truck so they almost look stock.

There are no aftermarket extendable mirrors available for the SuperCrew, so the slide-ons were the best and least expensive alternative for us.

They were purchased from WM for about $40 for the pair.

We also use the CIPA slid on mirros and have an F150 - they work just fine! Now we need to get another set for the F250!!!!
