I'm not sure why the light doesn't work, being an interior light, corrosion seems unlikely unless you had major water damage which hurt the wires, but you'd probably know about that.
Here's a suggestion: Turn on every single light in the trailer. This will take a lot of power if you aren't plugged into 30 amp, so don't try to run the AC at the time or anything. Turn on every single light, on switches, on their own switches on the light, etc. Heck, even turn on the porch lights. Then go see if that light works. If it does, start turning stuff off until that light goes off.
I didn't know Sunline to do it, but I know some manufacturers put multiple lights on a switch. I'm guessing it's either on the switch by the entry door, or it's on the switch for the bathroom light. I really wish these manufacturers didn't put the light on the switch by the door somewhere throughout the coach, using it otherwise is a pain because you have to think that it's on the switch. They should put a light right inside the door on the ceiling that's on the switch and leave the rest on their own, or else they need to invent a switch that is either off, on with switch feed, or on regardless.
If all that doesn't work, I can't help you much. I'd say just to take the light down and check the wires, make sure they are connected. Sunline used acorn nuts to hold the lights in, one of these may have come loose. You may or may not find silicone inside of the nut, I can't remember if they'd do that on those or not. They put silicone inside all the acorn nuts for the exterior running lights so that water doesn't get inside and rust the wires away.
You probably won't be able to get a good idea of where the wire goes by taking the light down, but you may. Due to the rafters running side to side, they run the wires through a central location, so the light wires may go sideways to go to a hole. You could tug on it slightly to see if you can see which angle it's going at to know where it's going through (front or back)
For the slide, do you have an access hole on the door side for a handle? I'm not sure when they started this, but I'm guessing you don't have one based on some pics I looked at. In that case, you'd have to crawl down underneath the coach and turn the motor in. There is a thing on the end of the motor for turning it manually, if you didn't receive a handle, you would just need a piece of pipe with a slot cut into it. I'll caution you against really cranking on this though, the gears are somewhat delicate and you could damage them if you cranked on it too hard.
