We have the bypass valve, that goes on the intake side of the pump. When bypassed, the valve allows no air/water/antifreeze to flow back towards the tank. Since that is the case, how does one remove the water that is in the line from the tank?

When you drain the tank, some of that water will leave the pipe and flow back into the tank. Since the tank is nearly empty and the pipe is not closed at the tank end, even if it does freeze, there is not enough water to break the pipe. When that little bit of water freezes and expands, it will expand in the direction of least resistance - the open end of the pipe into the tank.
Your fresh water tank is underneath the trailer so that pipe between the pump and the tank is a down hill path back to the tank. By the time freezing weather hits, that pipe will be virtually empty anyway.
And, if memory serves, the line between the tank and the pump is that high pressure flex stuff. A freeze in that type of piping can't hurt it. It's that translucent hard stuff that can rupture if not winterized. That and the valve in the toilet. Don't ask me how I know, but experience is a rough school master.
