Window 2004 t-2363

Hi all, I was wondering if anyone knew of a place in south central pa that does glass work, about 2 years ago we had an accident while camping and our side window behind the front awning leg got shattered. I had it replace the next week at a local glass shop, but they told me by law they couldn't put glass back in so it's plexiglass, which didn't bother me at first, but as we have two dogs that camp with us they tend to get a little excited when we come back to the site, and the plexiglass is getting a little scratched up, I would really like to have glass back in it or find someone with a pile of parts from a camper that will work for this. Any input would be great thank you in advance! Mike

Hi Mike..I was told the same thing incorrectly a few years back after a breakin..however I then contacted a different company for an estimate and was informed that law only applies to units that carry passengers while in transit. You may want to check into this further and maybe even ask your DMV office in your state. Hope this helps...Janalee PS...Just noticed you are in Pa.also...Mesko Glass in Scranton did our work...!! Good luck..keep calling around tip you get the answer you want! Janalee

I will definitely look at other places, the only thing that bugs me about the plexiglass is the fact that our dogs get excited and jump at the windows when we come back to the camper wether we were gone for 3 hours or 3 mins haha. Thanks for the info ill let you know what I find out. Mike

Hmm, that's interesting because the 2363 I had must have dealt with the same situation and part of the big window was plexi. In that case, the bottom half of the window was a jalousie and the top half was solid/stationary. The stationary part was the plexi part, and it was starting to show some stress cracks along the bottom.

The window on that one was a Hehr, so I went to a local glass shop, Henderson Glass, and inquired about replacement glass. They advised it had to be tempered, and they needed the model number off the window itself. This required removing the entire window unit from the trailer to access the sticker on the back side of the window frame. They ordered the glass in and it went in like a glove.

In your case, you should have Kinro windows, but the process should be similar. You could also try calling Kinro to see if they can help about getting a replacement glass: Contact
