We have been in many rain storms and I've never seen rain come in the jalousied windows, even when they're open. We never feel we have to close our windows during a rain storm.
Now I'm sure horizontal rain could do it if the windows are open, but it's rare. (I've seen horizontal rain drive in normal very good windows when closed.) I doubt its the window's edge rubber seal, ours are mostly gone.
As to the front stone shield we run a closed loop bungee cord, the ones with a ball on the end, from the slot in the top portion to the locking mechanism on the stone shield's support arm. This supplies tension against the arm and keeps it from bouncing in most wind.
As to the roof, we've had rain come in everywhere there's a cut in the roof at one time or another, all four roof vents have developed cracks at one time or another around the vents. As well we've had a leak at the top of the door.
One flaw in the design of the roof is the pooling of water. Flat roofs are poor design.
