Weingard antenna installation on T1661

Recently I purchased a 1985 T1661 Sunline trailer that did not come with an antenna. I have a used Weingard (sensor) crank up antenna I would like to install on this unit. I see the roof is prewired and set up for an air conditioner but see no signs that it is set up for an antenna. Does the roof have a location that would support the weingard antenna? If so please let me know how to locate that spot. Thanks in advance for your help.

Thanks for the reply!! I assume that the roof frame uses 2"X2" if I drill a 3/4" in hole through the frame that doesn't leave much for the roof support and if I don't drill through the middle of the frame board worse yet. I was hoping that a portion of the roof had additional framing that would support the antenna.

The base has a pretty wide foot print I have no ideal how mine is I have had it apart to lube the gear and crank system but I really have no ideal if Sunline did any thing special as far as mounting if they did you would think it would have been marked like they did for the radio speakers.

usually antennas are mounted above entrance door area. I would take an electronic stud finder and check the ceiling for a preinstalled solid area.

Mine is near the door of my 2363 but it can vary widely in different models. I know there is a plank or board between roof rafters that the Winegard antenna is mounted on, I can feel the board through the rubber roof around the base of the antenna. You might trying "exploring" the roof by gently pushing on the roof in places.

This might be a little tricky since they have an aluminum roof, but still doable.

Our 1988 T-1350 has a spot marked on the ceiling to the right of the a/c (facing forward).
