TV/Cable

Ok guys, Ron is pulling his hair out (not too much left)! He is trying to connect the TV and he cannot find the junction box! He has checked the wiring, etc. but the cables just disappear into the woodwork. So...where is it guys??

Thanks.

On our T-276Sr it is a round plate with a standard cable connector with a rubber cover located on the passenger side rear with all the other connections (electric, water, tank flusher, and outside shower).

Looks something like this:

Ok, thanks. WOW, you guys are quick!

Ron discovered that the rear cable connection is for the TV in the bedroom (which we won't use). What he has to do is run a cable from the cable connector in front of trailer (near bedroom door) to the source. He assumed that the connection in the bedroom was for both TVs and it isn't - they are both independent of each other.

So now I get to watch the weather in full color, and shudder at the cold temps, lol.

Thanks again for your help!

Guessing that you have a the flip-up shelf in the bedroom, and a place on top of the fridge for your TV's. Once you connect the cable to the trailer, both TV jacks in your Sunline should function. Thus making it possible to watch TV either in the bedroom or from your living area. If this is not correct, I'm sure some of the guys will be along to correct me.

Do you have the TV jack above your fridge ?????

It should look like this:

If so, try pushing the small button on the outlet plate, that should switch between the amplifer on the antenna and the cable inlet.

Mack

Additional Info:

After digging a bit on the net, if you still don't have a connection after pushing the button, check under this plate. There should be three cables connected on the back, (from the antenna), (from the external cable connection), and (to the second set). It's possible the connection to the second set has come loose or was never connected. But, this is where "the other end" of the front cable should be.

HI Ron& Alice

once you hook up the cable to the outside of the camper you should have cable available to both your tv hook ups in the camper the location on top of the fidge should have a 12v plug with a black button and a cable conector and a little green light if you are hooked up to cable form the campground be sure to push the little black button until the light is off , that is to turn on the amp for the antenna on top of the coach and is not needed when using cable / sat if the light is on while you are connected to cable you will get no picture good luck Dan

Ok guys, -

Ron connected the cable to the rear cable connection, which worked for the bedroom TV. That is where the antenna/cable/box is (the one you all seem to think should be above the fridge). There is nothing above or near the fridge and in order to connect the cable to the TV above the fridge, Ron had to run the cable from the park source to the front side of the trailer, just next to the fridge exhaust. The cable running from the fridge TV is not connected to anything, it is independant of the other one.

Norm & Ginny might be in our area within the next couple of weeks, and we will ask him to look at it for us. But, in the meantime, the TV works great with all 100s of channels, lol. Whatever works...

Ron & Alice:

My bad, it's the 267SR that's the roughly the same layout as the 276SR, not the 264SR.

I would look under the plate (easy enough, remove two screws) and see if there is a "third" cable there. IF there is, then look closely around the refrigerator for the other end. The cable might be there and it was never brought through the wall/ceiling.

Ours is reversed, the plate is in the ceiling over the refrigerator, and we just have a cable coming out of the wall at the tv shelf in the bedroom.

Mack

Our plug and cable outlet is above the fridge, same as yours. I wonder if in 2004 it was in the bedroom, although you would think the main tv hookup would be out in the living space. Could it be the cable above the fridge was wired for satellite?

there is nothing around the fridge, just this loose cable that is not connected to anything. So you connect one end to the TV, and the other goes outside to connect with the cable, as part of the plate with the fridge vent. Weird...

Ron and Alice:

I under stand what your saying that the cable isn't above the refrigerator. What I was saying is if you check under the cable plate and there is a third cable there, the other end may be above the ceiling or behind the wall and was never brought through. On our trailer the bedroom cable literally comes through a hole drilled in the wall and I could very easily see how the cable could be roughed in, but not brought through the wall. It would be easy enough to check under the plate, if the cables not there, then you know it wasn't installed.
