Hello again, fellow campers! Wasn't summer excellent? We've just completed our first camping season with such great memories! Ah, but now, it's getting chilly outside. Weekend trip planned for a race in Salem, Indiana and want to get the furnace started should it be needed. I called myself looking for any troubleshooting threads but didn't find any. We have the coach manual with paperwork for the hydro flame furnace which hasn't helped me either. There's a thermostat on the wall with a small OFF switch looks to be screwed tightly at the OFF position. I suppose I take the little metal strip off to move to on. There's a ventilated cover under kitchen cabinet that screws off. The cover outside screws off which makes me think it isn't necessary to get in there. Paperwork says it's auto ignite. Lengthy post for sure, but, surely do need your help!
Sandy

That little switch on the bottom of the thermostat moves left to right to turn furnace on. It does NOT move easily. If you try to pull forward or push back, it can break - just move left or right.
We spent a very cold night in ours trying to turn the heat on by reading the manual. All it said was to turn furnace on (How?) and set temp on thermostat.
The first time we needed heat, we were at a M&G and asked if anyone needed anything from town before we left to go buy a space heater and extra blanket. Another member showed us the little tab under the thermostat and how to operate it.
Enjoy the race. I hope your favorite driver does well and you don't need heat.
