T-2362 Kitchen Sink Issue

We just bought a 1992 Sunline to set up permanently at our Lease in Central Texas. We have been cleaning and remodeling. I upgraded the converter to a 3 stage and replaced the propane hoses with modern connectors. We have sealed a couple of small leaks, and numerous other little items.

We are hooking everything up at home to make sure everything works. Shore power and City water (with regulator on it) Check the water in the bathroom everything works, no leaks detected. Never thought to check the kitchen sink. Fire up the hot water heater, lit right off. Wife went to use the kitchen sink, a few little drips then nothing.

All the other water works, am I missing some valves or something. Can't figure out why the kitchen dosen't work. It looks like all the hoses are fine. Anyone have any suggestions?

Welcome to Sunline Owners Club and congrats on your new coach!

Now the faucet. I would try this first,

Unscrew the aerator on the end of the faucet. Make sure it is not plugged solid with mineral build out out of the hot water heater. If the faucet is indeed an RV faucet there is commonly a small water re-stricter disk to limit the flow up in the aerator. While mine does not always totally plug shut, come spring it does 1/2 to 3/4 plug and not much but dribbles come out after a hot water heater tank flush.

I flush the tank out in the spring and it stirs a lot up sediment on the bottom of the tank and most flushes out. What does not come out from the flush ends up in the kitchen faucet.

I'm assuming both your hot and cold do not work and that points to the aerator screen. Once you have it out, turn on the faucet and flush the pipe before putting it back in. And if nothing comes out then, odds are high you have a faucet issue.

Bingo!!! Thanks guys, I was dreading having everything work on this old coach, except the kitchen sink.
My has been goign through the whole trailer today making it spotless. Tomorrow me and the Exterior.

Glad it was that easy....

And the outside.... be glad it is a little camper... Spring clean up on these bigger ones is an big job.

Start with washing the roof first. If not all that stuff will run down again and the black streaks will return after the 1st rain.

If you have a rubber roof, heads up on not walking on it as unless you had the special walk on option as there is nothing up there to hold you. Have to use a tarp down 1st and pieces of plywood 2 plus feet wide to span the rafters to hold your weight. To wash I hang over the side with a long pole brush off a good solid step ladder.

Well this one had been sitting a long time, the exterior isn't too bad but it needs a good wash. I need to pull off the covers on the furnance and water heater sand and paint them again.

Yes it has a rubber roof, I was shocked that it only had two small leaks. Regarding that I noticed there is rubber roof wash and conditioner. Should I use that or is regaular automotive wash fine?

I use Tide laundry detergent on the rubber roof. My Sunline manual stated to use laundry soap so I have been. I have even tried Dicor rubber roof cleaner from those who make the roof. And Thetford rubber roof cleaner. The tide does about the same thing. It is basically getting the dirt off.

I use 303 UV Protectant on it as a treatment after the wash dries off.

I use this also on anything plastic up there and on the sides of the camper plastic. The sun kills the plastic big time. I buy it by the gallon and it lasts me about 2 years. Shop the web for the best price.

As far as washing be cautious to not use anything with petroleum spirits or based like that. It reacts with the rubber.

The key to a cleaner roof is don't let is go so long. I do about 4 times a year.

While you are up there cleaning and looking, look real good at the caulking. If there are any signs of a tiny split, now is the time to fit it. And look every time your up there. A minium of 2 times a year, more is better like 4 times when the TT get to be past 4 to 5 years.
