T-1950 Soft spots in floor

We are the second owners of a 2003 T-1950. Went camping this last week and noticed two soft spots on the bathroom floor where feet would be placed in front of the toilet. Any ideas how to tackle this problem? Any good RV service places (in MA)?

Hi Fbcfitz

First off welcome to Sunline Owners Club. Glad to have you with us. This is the place for Sunline info!

Now to your soft spot. H’mm while I do not have your model, this issue may not exactly be model specific. Unless other T1950 owners have had the same issue.

A question is, does it feel soft like rotted wood or soft like thin wood giving way? Rotted wood does not spring back. It just gives and stays put. Thin wood springs back.

Those 2 foot spots get foot size impression loads after each toilet use. I don’t know if your feeling the floor flex or you have a real water issue leaking from the toilet. I know on my floor there is a spot in front of my fridge that gives way a little when I step on it. It is a high traffic area but in this case it is just the floor flexing and I feel it every time I walk by it.

Are there are water stains or leaks around the base of the toilet? If so then this may point to water under the floor tile. If it is water under the tile, well that will need to be addressed as it normally does not dry out unless exposed to air.

Hope this helps

John
