Sorry, another thermistor question

Dometic RM 2510. Runs all the time on gas and AC. Based on what I've read here, the thermistor is likely failed. I did make sure it was touching the fin and secured and it still freezes everything. I want to replace it but all I can find on this forum is the electronic ones. See the pic's below for what I am up against. It seems to be a solid copper wire that disappears into an abyss under the fridge. I have absolutely no idea how to get to it other than removing everything. If it comes to that, I may actually bring it in for service. Has anyone messed with this type before?

If you don't already have one, the manual for your fridge is downloadable from Dometic. In addition to the model number, try to find the product number on the unit somewhere. There are several different versions of the RM2510 manual.

http://www.dometicmanuals.com/PROD/M...f?Opendatabase

The one I looked at has exploded views of the entire unit.

Steve, that is a great link. I saw it once long ago, but never found it again. Thanks for posting.

I would also check Dometic refrigerator recall list to see if your model qualifies. Looks like it hasn't been done on yours.

Excellent. Thank you. Looks like the "thermistor" is actually a part of the thermostat and needs to be ordered as one unit. Oh how I dread taking that all apart... Not to mention the pictures for the thermostat to order look nothing like whats in the manual.

When I replaced my thermistor I attached new one to old and carefully pulled new one in as I pulled old one out.
PS. it wasn't thermistor it we board, replaced board with one from dinosaur.

It does run all the time as long as it is on it's not like a house fridge. The gas flame is modulated by the the thermostat the 120 volt does turn on and off but you would never know it. The controls a kind of backwards for temp regulation actually if it freezing things that's a good thing it means the cooling unit is good!

Everything that i am finding online doesn't look a thing like what I have. I wonder if I can bring it somewhere and get an updated version installed.
