Shower Pan

After my wife and I became empty-nesters last year, we purchased a 1986 T1661 fixer upper. The fixing up part has been a great learning experience. Google is a great resource. I am stuck on my latest project. My shower pan (pretty sure it is plastic) has a substantial crack right in the crease. I first tried an epoxy weld, but given that the pan flexing quite a bit, I have decided to replace it. Two issues i have. 1) I have the pan loose, but the drain is connected to the drain pipe. How do I get it loose? I cannot find how to remove the drain from the pan....and given that it is plastic, i am pretty sure it will break if i just jam my pliers in there to try to turn it. Also, (if the photo file attaches properly) you can see a black rubber pipe stuck on the inside of the drain

2) measurements of the hex shaped pan is 24 x 21. Where in the world do i find a replacement? Appears to be quite a bit smaller than anything I can find on the internet.

TIA. Bill & Janet

Hi Bill,

I do not know your older model, however my shower drain is flanged on the top with a spin on nut under the shower. Like this

Look all around and in the next room for any kind of an access port to reach in and get to the nut. Again mine has and access port but do not know all the build methods over the years.

Hope this helps

John

Maybe this shower pan might help. The 27" x 27"

Replacement RV Shower Pans

This is their main site RV Furniture RV Cushions Bedding Skylights RV Water Tanks RV Holding Tanks RV Roof Vent RV Escape Hatch RV Range Hood RV Tire Carrier Pleated Shades DayNight Shades RV Sinks RV Jack RV Accessories Camper Accessories

I have never bought from them, I would call and talk with them to see what they have.

There are several other RV surplus places in Elkhart, and these I have bought from. And been to them in person.

Johnson's they sell on line through E bay. They are a pretty big place. Lots of stuff
Electrical, Axles items in Johnson's Surplus store on eBay!

Bontragers, another big one
RV Supplies and Accessories - Bontragers Surplus Inc. | Bontragers Surplus Inc.

And I have been to these folks

PPL has some too. Bought from these folks often. RV Shower Pans - Many Styles for Sale - PPL Motor Homes

But I do not see the corner unit like your unless you adapt over to one

Hope this helps

John

John....I greatly appreciate your help and direction. My pan is hex shaped, 24 x 21. I will check out your links but may end up having to make some adaptions if I can ever get it off.
