Suggestion: Buy a good multimeter from Radio Shack for maybe $20. Then you have a voltage tester for 120 and 220 AC, and 12 volts DC as well as an ohm meter and a continuity tester. They're inexpensive, compact and a good diagnostic tool to have with you.

Hey Hutch, yes that is the contraption that I was talking about. That thing is way out of our budget, but I guess if I had a 50 amp RV and was worried about surges and what not, then it might be worth its steep cost.

For us, if anything blows, well then we can always pull the tent out of the back of the truck....LOL

At least you can get Cindy to stay in a tent. If my dad blew something and they had no power, my mom would already be packing up the car to find a local hotel .
