Smile Roof walking!

Well i finally did it - i got the big ladder out and climbed on top of the trailer ---- i was very concerned about doing so --- well i don't think i needed to be --- it was concerning me being on the roof and not the condition of the roof itself.

with ease i was able to walk along, remove clean and replace the maxair vent covers plus check and recaulk some of what i determined to be areas of concern.

glad that is over and that i no longer fear the roof!

There's nothing to fear, but fear itself! Is your roof full walk-on?

How "Squishy" was the areas between the trusses, or could you even tell where they were?

Mine's squishy between the rafters so when I work up there I set a 4' piece of lumber to stand on. Best to set a couple up there and not worry about damage to the roof.

I like JohnB's use of tarps and plywood...

its not a full walk on roof --- i was just careful - but glad to know that i can, i have and i will in the future

i also installed the weather proof 12 V plug on the door side of the trailer - frame near the front jack - allows me to plug in the outdoor LED garden lights that we use - finally done!

this evening is washing the trailer evening - camping starting tomorrow - i hate those black streaks!
