Roof repair?
First off, may I say how much I appreciate this forum and those of you that take time out to help others? Oh, I just did😏
After removing vent covers and trying to get the roof ready for a clean rubber coating, I found this puncture on the left rear. I have pulled the aluminum out, as it was pushed inward. Previous "repair" of this puncture was as follows: pushed the aluminum inward, covered with an aluminum patch, fiberglass patch and covered with another aluminum patch. It was then screwed in place with self tapping sheet metal screws and painted over with rubber. Once all that was removed, (water was puddled between the two patches and the rafters rotted underneath) cleaned up, etc. this is what it looks like.
What is the PROPER way to repair this puncture after I replace all the rotted and missing wood? I honestly don't know how I towed this home without it falling apart!
Thanks in advance!
