Rhinoflex kit & lens

We need a new hose. Does anyone have a comment on the one below and will it fit our 2001 Solaris with no problem? Thanks !

RhinoFLEX Swivel RV Sewer Kit - Camco RV 39761 - Sewer Hoses - Camping World

Also, our clearance light sidemarker lens are cracked and we can't find replacement (Bargman #6 lens. Does anyone know where we can find them (screw on) or suggestions for replacing the entire light welcome.

Looks okay... these are standard. I have one of those see through connections at the trailer that allows you to see what is draining out...good for seeing if your tank is clean after flushing it out....without lifting up the hose and viewing from the sewer side.

This is one of the best accessories we ever bought. You can't miss with this one. They now have a 20' kit that has a unique fitting to create it from two 10' lengths. It contracts so it can be stored in a "tupperware" container. This is a very sturdy product so you don't have to worry about it splitting. Very clean to use, we use a clear plastic connection attached to the tank outlet but it comes with a translucent one. Not sure about the marker light.

I have that Rhinoflex and I love it. The angle end on the hose does not fit inside the bumper tube but I got a 5 inch plastic post from Lowes and mounted that above the bumper to hold the hose.

Sorry I can't help on the light.

I don't have a Rhinoflex, but I was working at the local dealer a couple years ago when they came out. I was so impressed with them that I couldn't push the benefits on customers enough.

You probably have the Bargman #68 series clearance lights. You could google for them, visit your local RV dealer, or here's two of the cheapest links I found (there are cheaper, but not when shipping is factored in)

Bargman Clearance Light #68 Red with Foam Gasket 34-68-510

BARGMANģ - 68 Series Clearance Light

You can get just the lenses for these, but getting the whole light isn't much more. These lights tend to crack down the center (probably what happened with yours) and then fill with water, so the socket gets a little corroded. It's easier to just pull the wires out of the wall, unscrew the wire nuts, and replace the whole socket/pigtail if needed. Also, make sure to put new silicone or roof sealant on the top of the light once installed and also in the end of the wire nuts like the original, if you replace the socket.

We have that same Rhinoflex kit and, as newbies, we love it - if you can "love" a dumping kit. We found it easy to use and have been able to dump with no accidents so far, including the first time we did it.

Our WallyWerld has LED clearance lights so I replaced all of ours with them, LEDs. I like not having to worry about loose bulb. Tail lights cannot be far behind.

JohnB is on a distinguished road
We bought the Rhino flex before it came with the fittings in the end. That is now 10 year ago and the hose is still as good as day we bought it. When Camco added the fitting, they had a glue problem, however that is now gone as I have not heard of it in a number of years.

We also use a clear RV hydro flush to see what is still coming out and to blast water up the pipe, tank and rinse the hose.

With any of these dump hoses, a key to lasting longer is to not drag it across concrete. The rough concrete can act like sand paper and wear down the outer edges of the accordion hose creating a leak. I have never had this happen, had a fellow camping bud tell me this and I always lift mine straight up verses dragging it up. It must be good advice as there are no rasp marks on my hose and I am very happy with it.

We were given in our "starter kit" by the dealer we bought our T2499 from one of the cheaper slinky ones. Never used it, still in the basement. I do however have a short slinky on the blue tote and it wants to wander all over.

The slinky'ies always wants to retract back and that can be a mess.... The Rhino stays put. However still hold the end of it in the dump hole or put the dump lid on the pipe in the hole before pulling the handle wide open. I hold the hose end and pull slow until the flow builds up.

A flying dump hose is not fun.... However Robin Williams may make an RV movie about it....

You will be happy with the Rhino.

Thanks all.

John, we bought the "RV" movie and watched it. Hilarious !! We let the grandkids borrow it. The 9 yr. old refuses to watch it as it is "too gross", but we can't get it back as the 5 yr. old can't stop watching it!! She laughs and laughs each time she watches it. Says "Poppie, will that happen to you and Grammie??" Yikes, I hope not !! Robin Williams at his best !
