Radio problems

Model AE-2000 radio in my 1999 Solaris does not work.

The booklet on it shows a basic wiring diagram that has a 3A 12V DC ( red)

line and a 1A memory ( yellow ) line

I presume these are fuses but don't see any in the wiring at the back of the radio in the cabinet.

Are these internal to the radio ?

The is nothing shown in the digital window at the top which is supposed to show the time. Also, when I push the power on button the red light seens to change but only a faint brighter.

Please advise if you can help. Thanks

h

The red wire makes it work the yellow wire is just for memory retention and the clock time. It should also have a ground wire most often black witch might be confusing because the camper ground wire is white.

Dennis,

Did you get this worked out? I have a 95 solaris and the radio issues I have seem to be related to the battery. Even if I am plugged in to 120v the radio will not work without a charged battery in place.

Radio

I found that it was less expensive ( in the long run) and easier to just replace and update the radio. Who uses cassettes anymore. I got nice Jennsen Radio, am fm, cd, with much better sound than the original on EBay for less than $200. This was in my 99 Solaris.

Good luck with yours.

Radio issues

I recently purchased an 02 T-2553. The battery was connected to a charger when we looked at it fresh out of storage. Clock was showing. I did not turn on(assumed it was working. Got it home and my son turned on a light and the clock went out. I haven't been able to get it to come on since. I have charged the battery but doesn't come on even when plugged in. I still think it is something I'm overlooking. I will see if the dealer has any suggestions. This will be quite a step up from pop up.
Thanks, Tom

Thanks for the suggestion, However the battery seems charged by the brightness of the lights when not on 120v.

I called the factory and there is a reset below the alarm button on my audiovox(a very small hole). Use a straight pin to push in. Presto, everything works fine. It does show the location of the reset in my info from Audiovox but very hard to notice it is there because of the black front.
