no hot water again-help

I started this thread over a month ago but the problem resolved itself presumably by my wiggling the wires on the water heater. This morning, we found ourselves with no hot water, either elec or gas. Made camp (at a nice Corps campground in Arkansas) and got out the contact cleaner I bought and attempted to clean the contacts with wire brush and cleaner. Some of them I could not pull off the tabs so left then alone for fear of breaking something. I have some tools, the Atwood manual and wiring diagram and a need for a hot shower but I really do not know what to do next. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
John

In conclusion

I ordered and replaced the thermal overload and the two thermostats. All is working now, as it should.
Thank you all for the help.
John
