no 110 volt in 1984 TT
Need help for my elderly neighbor, they have an 1984 Sunline trailer, approx. 33' with two add-on rooms. The trouble right now, there is no electricity ( ac 110 volts ) going to the trailer. I can't find any curcuit breaker, to check to see if the main switch has been tripped, does anybody know where the curcuit box is located. I keep trying to find a manual for that year, no joy so far, anyone know how to get that, or where the curcuit box is located. Appreciate any help. Linda @ dedawinters@yahoo.com

You can find brochures with floor plans by clicking the "FILES" tab at the top of the page. The 3rd listing down is "Sunline Brochures". 1984 models are on page 3. That will show the layouts of the different models so you have a model number. Then maybe someone with that model can help you find the power converter.
Are you sure it's a Sunline? Sunline didn't make a TT with a slide in 1984 and never made any TT with 2 slides.

Agreed, they didn't make a slide model in 1984, but I'm wondering if she means it has like screen/all-season rooms attached. If it's a 33' or so, it's more than likely used as a park model. Kinda like some of the decks at Gateway, but fully enclosed. Very common out on the shore.
They did make a couple TTs with two slides though. The 299SR was initially only double slide and later became an option of one or two. The low profile 295 and 300SRs had two slides, as well as the 330SR (which is like mine but with a bedroom slide). These were all built like between 1999 and 2004.

To find the circuit breaker, try this.
Find the shore line cord (the big black heavy cord) outside the camper that plugs into the 120 VAC power post. Look at where it enters the camper. Then go inside and find that same location. You may have to open doors, or lift cushions etc but you will find that big black heavy cord.
Follow the cord until it meets some kind of electrical box. The fuse or circuit breakers should be in there. At this point we are "assuming" that someone has not rewired the camper over the years. So far, all the Sunlines we see here on this site have the breaker box inside shortly after the big black cord comes through the wall.
Hope this helps and good luck.
John

I've learned something new and stand corrected. Thanks Jon.

John:
I have an exception to this rule. On the 2007 T-276SR, the inlet is on the driver's side rear (behind the slide) and the convertor is on the wall under the bottom bunk on the door side.
You can see the convertor under the ladder in this pic:
The inlet is on the opposite wall behind the tub/shower to the right of the toilet.

message from dedawinters about no electric on 1984 sunline
Thank you one and all for every suggestion about finding the curcuit breaker in my neighbors Sunline 1984 TT. First , there are no slideouts on this trailer, just add-on rooms, as it is permannently parked in a RV Park by the CA. Coast. After I had extensively searched, high and low for the box, I went to our local RV repair shop and he suggested the same thing that one of your wonderful members did, follow the shore line from electrical station to the joint at the trailer and it ( curcuit box ) should be close-by the same location inside the trailer . Lo and behold, in the bathroom, behind a very small , almost invisible door, the CURCUIT BREAKER !! . I was happy to see the electricity come back on as soon as I rocked the master switch .
So , now I must thank each and every one of the Sunline owners for all their suggestions , and I'm happy to report that the owner of the coach is very happy also. This is a 35/36 ft.Sunline TT that has been parked in the same Park and added on to since 1985 , there is a front kitchen/dining room, center livingroom, a long hallway 2/3rds the way down the trailer with closet on one side, and bathroom on the other side. The bathroom has a full walk-in tub. At the very rear of the coach there is the bedroom ( queensize bed, raised bed) . This is one of the nicest layouts I've seen in a travel trailer. My husband and I have done alot of travelling and viewed lots of other layouts and this is one of the best.
In closing, thank you all for all your wonderfully caring suggestions and I'm glad that the solution was free of charges the the coach's owner.

The 264SR's are also an exception.
