microwave outlet question

My new to me 1997 Soleris is missing the factory installed microwave. Although the factory bezel is still there, the PO put a small household microwave in the empty spot. When plugging this into the designated outlet, the microwave does absolutely nothing. I took it out and plugged the microwave into a different outlet in the TT and it works fine making me believe there was no power to that outlet. I grabbed my outlet tester and it shows power and correctly wired. I took my VOM and tested the outlet and showed approx 117VAC (the same reading as all other outlets in the TT). What would make this outlet (which is labeled next to it 'For RV Microwave) Not work for a small household microwave when all the other outlets work? Power draw different? Amperage? Thanks for your input!

Does the plug feel a little bit loose when you plug it in? Try spreading the prongs a little bit. I have had that problem even in my home.

Check the cicuit breaker panel for a dedicated circuit.

I figured it out and determined a faulty outlet. I plugged in a heat gun and really wiggled the plug end around inside the outlet and found power. I did the same with the microwave plug and wound up with power when it is pulled out 1/8" or so... time to source a ceiling plug...

Standard outlet box, a replacement outlet will have two receptacles. You'll need to replace the cover also.
