Lighting question...

Anybody know how I check on why the overhead lights in my '88 3200 bedroom won't light? The one over the bed will work fine...also, I can't get the lights over my bathroom mirror to light...the one in the shower lights up just fine.

There may be a wall switch for the bathroom lights somewhere that has to be turned on in addition to the switch(es) at the light fixtures. Possibly the same for the bedroom?

In both cases, check the bulbs and then check the fuses.

Yep there is a switch outside the bathroom door, but that doesn't work... or at least doesn't seem to activate the light...bulb has been replaced...fuses??? I think I only have breakers..If there are fuses where are they?

There are automotive style fuses for the 12vdc circuits, and breakers for the 110vac ones. In mine, the fuses are in the same unit as the converter - open one panel and both the breakers and fuses are readily apparent.

We had pretty much the same discussion recently for another fellow with the same problem. Memory says the fuses were in a separate panel near the converter, but inside a cupboard or behind a drawer. It may take a bit of hunting, but they are there.

Typically, Sunline wired the bathroom lighting with a switch outside the door as well as the switch built into the fixture.

Just looked over the floor plan for the 3200. If I was a betting man, I would make odds that the 12vdc fuse panel and the 110vac converter are somewhere in the cabinetry from the tv corner cabinet to the fridge area. One other possibility would be under the front couch on the street side of the trailer.

I should take a supply of 15 and 30 amp fuses with me, correct?

I don't know what kind of fuses your trailer needs. Mine are the ATM type, but older trailers may use the old glass AGC's. You won't know until you look.

The only 30 amp fuses in my trailer are the master fuses. Everything else is 15 amp except for the propane detector which is 1 amp.

In my 83 T-1550 has fuses in the converter itself and way down the bottom of one of the storage areas behind the dinette seat. They can be easy to miss.

I would start looking in , behind & under things that are near/close to where your power cord enters the trailer. Usually the power center is not too far from where the power cord is. But, I could be wrong.

Bosch glass tube type (except where re-wiring was done and replace with inline blade type)

BTW - my fuses for the brakes, signals and exterior are in the front, but the interior lights and appliances are in the back, so look around everywhere.

They are 10's and 15's, but I couldn't tell you which ones go where, or even if they are the right sizes in them now. My little trailer has gone thru several rewiring jobs. Sorry I couldn't be more helpful, and good luck.

Opie...you are the man on this one...fuses were indeed in the converter...located in my 88 Seville behind a small square pull down access panel beneath the oven. 1 screw opens the converter and bingo...there are the fuses. Two were blown. After I replaced them I had reading lights on each side of the bed, overhead light in the bedroom, a light in the wardrobe/closet, and lights over the sink in the bathroom. I can SEE again!!!!! Thanks for all the help guys and gals.... this forum saves a lot of trouble, time and, sorry, bad language on my part!!!
