For the first time last week, I brought our 2499 out the front driveway of where I park it instead of out the back way as I had been doing. On the way out, I heard a SSCCRRAAAAPE sound that sounded a lot like the sound my hitch used to make when I pulled our 2470 out that way. So, thinking it was the same thing, no problem, the hitch bar can take it I thought and I kept going. It wasn't until I got into our driveway at home that I realized what it really was:
Seems our 92 2470 had no front scissor jacks, so even though it sat a little lower than the 2499, the hitch was the only thing hanging low enough to hit the driveway. Now, it's a different story.
I won't be taking the trailer out that way again.
