Hydro Flame Furnace Burner Question

I have a Hydro Flame 8520-II furnace that I need to replace the burner on it. I have been told that the burner that I need is a 33842 and it is no longer available but I could use a 36043 as a replacement. Has anyone use the 36043 as a replacement for the 33842 and how does it work? Thanks.

Hi timaford: I have replaced a couple burners with the 33842 and none of the customers have had any problems.

Thanks Krazedave. I am looking to use a 36043 burner to replace a 33842 since the 33842 is no longer available. Is that what you mean you have done?

Thanks Krazedave. I order one today and I am just glad that it will work. My local RV dealer told me that I need to get a new furnace. I told them no I didn't I would go with an electric heater before I spent all of that money on a new furnace.

I just wanted to let everyone know that I put the 36043 burner in my Hydro Flame 8520-II furnace in place of the 33842, which is obsolete now, and it is a direct bolt in and works great. Thanks krazedave for your help.

Your welcome tinaford. Being A rv tech I try to help all I can, but it is not easy without the unit in front of me and seeing what is wrong.

8525ii

Do anyone know if you can use the 36043 in place of the 33842 in an Atwood 8525ii furnace? Atwood tells me there is no replacement for the 33842.
Thanks,
Kevin

After looking through my repair manual I found that in the II furnaces the 20 and 25 are the only ones to use the 33842. That leads me to believe that you can also use the 36043 burner in your furnace.
