Your converter should have AC circuit breakers, as well as the DC fuses. One of the breakers, is for the AC-DC converter. Turning off that breaker will kill the converter.

The AC to DC converter is in the same enclosure as the circuit breakers and draws it's AC power from one of those breakers. Turning off the converter's breaker will kill the power to it. In essence, you will have the AC side of the system separated from the DC side of the system.

If I understand your post properly, you are trying to kill the AC to DC converter. That way, you can run the inverter off the battery(ies) and power the AC appliances in the camper. Am I close?

Turning off the breaker to the AC to DC converter, will still allow your DC system to draw power from the battery/batteries. It will also allow your inverter to power the AC system, without trying to charge the battery/batteries.

It would be the same thing as taking out the converter totally and powering your AC system with the inverter drawing power from the battery/batteries.
