How to get rid of mothball smell??

We just purchased a very well kept 2006 T-1950, but the gentleman had put mothballs everywhere during winter storage. I've tried to find all of them--under the bed, in the drawers, in the hot water heater space, refrigerator inner workings, etc. I'm sure there are still some hidden! I've been airing for a few days, but it's still smelly--any solutions??? What do people use in lieu of mothballs to prevent spiders nesting, etc?

I think that it will just take sometime for the oder to disapate I use them over the winter is our camper but I keep them in plastic cups so that it dosent get into the carpet or where every they are used.

On the recommendation of several people on the forum, I have used Bounce dryer sheets for the last two years without any bug issues.

I hate to say this but I had the same problem when we bought our coach, and I had to replace the carpeting to get rid of the smell. Nothing else worked. The smell was even in the plywood underneath, but the carpet took care of it. I can still smell the mothballs when I lift the bed go get into the storage compartment, but only then.

An old trick to remove musty smells from furniture is to place used coffee grounds in the drawers and cabinets and leave them for a couple weeks. The grounds are a good absorber of strong smells. Used coffee grounds are a pretty effective odor absorber when sprinkled on a carpet too. Be sure the grounds and the carpet are completely dry or else the grounds will leave a stain.
