grey tank leak

doing a bunch of work this week on the camper, and i am looking forward to showing the before and after pics...

my grey water tank started leaking out of the top edge--the edge line right at the bottom of the camper. it leaks out to the ground. it doesn't appear damaged or cracked. can this be fixed with a sealant?

I do not know your tank being an 83 camper. Mine the black and gray tank appear to be a top welded to a bottom and they are ABS plastic. If yours is ABS plastic, they do plastic welding for repairs. Basically heating with a heat iron and using filler rod as needed.

They also have ABS solvent weld cement. It is used on plastic pipe fittings. Do not know if it will work as well on a flat edge of the tank. I have never used it like that. Maybe others who have used the solvent can add some more to this.

Caution on the sealants. Many plastics do not like to have glues/sealants etc stick to them. That said they do make special glues for certain plastics.

Any way to post a picture of what you have or do you know if it is ABS?

i'm including 3 pics of the grey tank, where i believe the leak is coming from--leaking over the edge when it is full. i'm wondering if i can get a sealant of some type and run it along the edge of the tank to secure it from leaking.

the last picture is of the rear of my camper. i wanted to hear opinions about the sag. i would guess that the wood support sitting on the frame is rotted out, and causing it to sag from weight. is this correct?
