Freeze up

Ok, here's another one for you guys. The fins on my dometic refrigerator ice up in the summer. Why? Thanks in advance.

Dave

Hi Dave,

Most often, frost and ice on the fins is caused by humid air getting in the fridge. The moisture then collects and freezes on the fins. Check your seal and make sure there are no places for the air to get in.

Others will add their experiences here too.

Hey Dave,

If you open the freezer door you will find a small switch at the top of the frame. It is for humidity control. Make sure it is on and it will with your problem. It may not eliminate it completely but it will help.
