Talking Fixed my Fender Skirt!

First I was blessed to find it in the meridian several days after it fell off from my 1st attempt to fix it (how I broke it is another story )

1. I bought some of that plastic fusion-type glue at the auto parts store but can be found at any home improvement store
2. After cleaning sections with rubbing alcohol I put line of mixed glue on both sides and held it to make sure it was sticking
3. After leaving to dry 24 hrs. I lightly sanded the outside and used some white spray paint
4. Decided to use some outdoor duct tape on the inside of the skirt to provide more support
5. Drilled a new hole in the fender skirt and the trailer as I discovered that somehow my T-1950 Sunline only had 10 holes instead of 11 in that side (the inspector must have went to lunch early that day )
6. Spray painted the new 11th screw
6. Added some new putty calk
6. There was a very small piece that had broken off on the top of the fender skirt that I never did find so I used a piece of white duct tape to cover that

And Ta-Da! Fixed Fender Skirt! Yeah me!

Looks good! Good job.

OK, is that a blue pet leash through the tire spokes?

To pass along another upgrade you may want to add. To fill up the hole in the door where the shore power cord goes through.

I use to use a plastic bag wrapped around the cord to plug up the hole so insects did not come in. Then I learned here on SOC to use a piece of pipe insulation.

I cannot seem to find a good pic of that upgrade by itself right now but here it is the along with a winter camping upgrade. During the warmer months we just use the hose insulation. The pink insulation is for winter camping.

Here is the baggie.

Cannot seem to find just the hose insulation pic, I know I took one.... I know others use this pipe insulation trick too.

I looked and can't find a close up of mine either. Still working well, though the pipe insulation is starting to look just a little rough. At my rate though, it'll last me a while yet.

Yup...blue pet leash...Someone at the MI Meet and Greet suggested it...after I bought a heavy duty dog spike type! Should I not use the tire spoke?

That's a great idea thanks! Now if I can just get the outside electric sockets to work....bathroom vanity GFI was tripped I reset it...outside sockets still do NOT work, checked circuit breaker...nothing tripped

Hi Joan,

No worries on the doggie leash. Just me being curious.

We are a curious bunch here on SOC....

Glad the plugs are working again. May the power be with you!

OK, what do you mean "bullet latch"? Is that something I said? I'm drawing a blank.

John, I think she's confusing John & Jon:

I e-mailed her a bunch of bullet latch install pics.
