Take a quick search on "sanitizing" with the search feature on this forum to see how to prepare your fresh water tank. There are several articles.

Your Black water tank will require chemicals to break down waste and there is a treatment for the gray water if you prefer. Not everyone treats the gray water.

You'll really only need a little clorox and baking soda for the fresh water and a commercial treatment for the black water which you will find at any Wal-Mart or any camping store.

Have a ball. My Sunline is still under about 18" of snow in the backyard.

Filling the tank with water and adding a bottle of liquid water softener will help lube up the sides and make dumping easier. It leaves a slick film on the tank walls. If that's not something that sounds good to you. Try using a chemical like TST to break down any waste. Another good tip is not to put any toilet paper in the tank at all, just put it in the trash can you keep in the bathroom. Thats how we do it and had no problems.

Sunline Coach Owner's Club - Sunline Owner's Files - Sunline Holding Tanks

Plenty of detailed info in this section of the Files area.

Does the crack in the grey water line look like this? I cleaned off all the dirt and repaired it with ABS cement from either Lowes or Home Depot. The ABS cement softens and welds the the pipe together.

To be honest, it was so long ago I forgot how long it takes to dry. I am quite sure I gave it at least one day.

There was a thread on here somewhere about mixing shavings from a scrap abs fitting and the abs cement to use as a "weld" to successfully repair a pretty good size tank crack. I don't have time to search for it right now.

This is how I repaired my tank. this was 2 years and many miles ago and still holding. The kit comes with ABS screen for a patch and burns itself into the old to become one.

Black tank repair
Last trip out I noticed a smell under trailer. Looking under I seen a drip drip. I dumped and flushed good at end of stay. Upon arriving home I found a surprise. The PO had hit the bottom of black tank and cracked it then patched with fiberglass and metal window screen and painted black. I was so busy checking roof seams and frame for rot I missed the tank patch. I cleaned fiberglass off and prepped area for Plasti-Mend patch , hope it works.

Cleaned and prepped area

Patched area 1st. coat and screen patch

Plasti-Mend Kit

Will add more later

Added 3rd and 4th coat

+ added additional strap

Now let it cure for a few days.
