Female travelers--how do you deal with T-1950 bed??
Sorry guys, but this most likely is a women's problem! The mattress is so tight to the wall, I can barely get a mattress cover and fitted sheet on the mattress--let alone the fitted comforter that came with the TT. We'll use sleeping bags, but I'd like to be able to put the comforter over them when "company" comes, etc. In the brochure it looks wonderful--but I don't know how anybody can do it..... any tips?? It's worse than my kids' bunkbeds--at least they were twin size!

Solution
My wife's solution is the easiest. She has me make the bed. I made the bed more times in the last 10 months of travel then I have done since I went to Military College some 45 years ago. I knew that military training would come in handy.

We are former owners of a 1950 and one of the reasons for upgrading was the bed....I just hated it!
DH goes to bed later and gets up earlier than I do - he slept on the inside, so I never got a goodnites sleep....and the issue with making the bed was horrible.....I did buy a twin size comforter to match the interior and that worked better than the fitted bed-cover that Sunline gave you......it was just wide enough to cover the bed......

I guess there's no good solution to the bed problem! I went into it with my eyes wide open --giving up a walk-around queen and counter space so that the DH would feel more comfortable towing with our vehicle. So far (it's still parked!) we love it, though!

Yes, it is a pain for about 5 minutes, as I usually hear my wife letting out some expletives when making the bed in our 195SR. But she loves sleeping in there once made, it's cozy and dark and comfortable. I enjoy it too. She hasn't asked me to make it yet, but I don't think it's too far off. For a good weekend or longer of camping in the Sunny, I'll do just about anything. The end result way out weighs the problem.

Bed Slave
As a Bed Slave I must say that making the bed became easier the more I did it. It really became a non-event.
I would tuck the wall side in first and than the hall side followed by the foot. It's a five minute job.
We do have a walk around in our Bounder but we're really loving the joy of towing our little rig around.
I think we'll even be happier as gas prices rise as they're sure to as the country spends and borrows unimaginable amounts of money. Last month we took our Bounder over to Cornell (Ithaca, NY) for a graduation and 900 miles later we had spent nearly $300 for gas.

I gave up trying to make the bed in my little SunLine. I throw and open sleeping bag over the "mattress" which covers it perfectly. It also adds a little more padding. I sleep on that. It washes and dries like a blanket. None of my quilts fit the bed so I fold them over on the wall side. It doesn't look as neat as I'd like, but it is a camper after all.
