Factory Colors

Does anyone know the factory original color for the frame/chassis for the 1985 T1350, Saturn?

It's painted black right now

WE all see various TTs and models with various color schemes Black, white beige and almond. I want to replace my propane tank cover but the tank cover should match the chassis color and spare tire cover

Most of the frames I have seen (mine included) are black but there have been a few pictures posted here where people painted them other colors and they looked good. My LP cover is white which is most common.

Seemed to follow the following theme:

- Until 1982/83: Black
- 1983-1989: Brown
- 1990-1992: Gray
- 1993-2007: Black

All seemed to be a standard paint or powder coat except for the last couple years, where the black was somewhat textured. Not sure if it was powder coat or some other type of finish.

Thanks 'Fan" for the details.
That's weird how they changed the colors that drastic over the years. So, it seems mine was Brown, back in the day. Who'd a thunk?
We know it really doesn't matter what the color is as long as it looks decent and the owner is happy. I really thought a beige or almond would have been more suitable, yet mine is black. I base that on the color of the exterior walls. LOL, brown looks so 1970s. Everyone has his/her own choice for color schemes and what we think would look best. So, unless I'm a purest for classic cars and TTs I guess I'll stay black....or not LOL

Thanks for the research.
BTW where did you get that info, what chart? I wonder what other interesting schemes, patterns and specs we could be missing out on.? Do you have any links you could post?

Thanks again for the research

I've seen some painted in the almond color over the years on mid '80s trailers, not really sure how that happened, if they were repainted or a rare factory thing. Seems like I've seen some of the longer more permanent type park trailers have the almond color vs. brown for the smaller trailers.
