Door & garage vinly trim replacements ?

As recommended in another thread I used acetone to clean the exterior vinyl trim around our windows & it did a decent job. However, it barely touched the mold/staining on the 5/8 inch trim that covers the mounting screw channels around our door & garages.
Can you advise of of an effective cleaner for these, or better yet a replacement source as those around garage doors have gotten brittle.
Thanx alot

Mold

Try some CLR. You can get it at any Home Depot, Ace, lowes etc. that should do the trick.

A lot of times, the stuff gets dirty underneath too, and it shows through.

But for what it costs to buy a new roll of it, you can redo all four corners in an hour or two and they'll look brand new again.

Probably need two rolls of this to do both the front and rear, plus a little bit of the Dicor 501 self leveling roof sealant, which you can check the rest of your roof seams with while you're at it.

new looking exterior

Right you are !!! Replacement was the way to go.
But it's not the corner vinyl trim that I couldn't get clean. That seems to be a different type vinyl & cleans fairly easily
I tried the CLR & it didn't touch the staining on our vinyl trim, & getting any cleaner in the crevices would have been very difficult
For $9 I bought a 50ft roll of JR Products 1 inch premium vinyl insert (part #10071) from my local RV dealer & in 1 hour+ had it installed around our door & 2 garages. It really spiffed up the exterior of our 1950

I've noticed on our 2007 Sunline that the wider (1") vinyl trim (screw cover) at the corners seems to be a different vinyl than the narrow (3/4") trim around the doors and cargo hatches. I can easily clean the wider trim to a bright white, but the narrow trim is spotted and yellowed and even acetone doesn't do much to clean it. I'll be replacing that and hopefully, the new stuff will be more like the wider trim and stay looking good.

I had the same (negative) experience trying to clean the vinyl door & garage trim. When I removed it found it to be a bit wider than 3/4 so I used 1 inch as a replacement & it fit just fine
