Ceiling vent fan/static TV ???

While watching the Philly/Yankee game last night in my camper.
Watching "Cable" as opposed to Antenna.

I turned the fan on in the bathroom ceiling vent and there was some static/lines going across the screen.

Is there anything you can do to prevent the lines while running the fan ?

Any info appreciated.

Thanks

You could try some snap-on ferrite beads on the fan power leads. A bypass capacitor at the fan may also help.

If you have anyone nearby who is into electronics (or a ham radio operator), they would likely be able to help with both of the above and may even have some additional suggestions.

thanks

you might have saved me a lot of expense and trouble.

I just came back from town, shopping and also looked at some new campers.

I was thinking about jacking up my ceiling vent fan, and pulling a new camper under it. Only kidding, man are new campers ever expensive.

I'll check with someone i kow that might be able to help me, with the static issue. Thakls for the ideas.

Happy camping !!!!

I have the opposite problem. We get static in the radio, but turn on the fan and it goes away.
