C 851 metal repair
Well here I go! removed the big gouge caused by a hay bale pole, original owner had this opps when he moved equipment in the barn- stored undercover

wood just kissed, not thru inside!
I found some metal - same mesa, wrong color. will cut, bend, fit and then have it painted.

pulled window, side mouldings,etc. wood solid just stained / old

front decal in good shape, may cut out and frame!
the side stripes wrapped around the corner! then corner insert trim on top

lots of cleaning, wd-40 did a good job to losen old putty tape
used a windshield "bone" tool, cut and groung a edge- wear gloves
fish hooks everywere!

Last night,
was thinking about skining over the front window, but finishing the interior
- thats in great shape - is not the best idea...
so I took window apart, compleatly!
lots of cleaning , need to pick up the two seals then reassmble
can't find butyl local, will need to order online from hehr or ?

found this online, I've ordered from them before. Also Menard's carries butyl rubber caulking, I use it to seal around lights and such, like it better than silicone

hehr window
Ordered the butyl tape, from vintage trailer supply, only 7.95 for 50'
So I have lots for others!
Found the rubber trim at my shop- not hehr but it works great,
RV08524-03 from Kinro. we are a keystone dealer, there p/n 114805
lots of cleaning, window is now like new.

seal going in , make sure you push to the corner, it does srink in time

I got the metal back from Ricky, all painted! Looks good, a bit shiner but the original should clean up and a little wax won't hurt!
