Bypass valves

hey guys my water heater bypass valve on the inlet side is leaking when its on bypass was wondering if it is possible to replace them or what? it is on an atwood 6 gallon gas only pilot type. i cant tell if they are just threaded in or not. im not sure if it matters but i dont have pex it is the older grey lines

WASA 1500 is an unknown quantity at this point
the tank has 1/2" female threads and the qest grey pluming fittings are threaded also- they have a hard compresion cone as a sealing washer.
you need a LOT of teflon tape on a grey plastic male thread
(going into the alum water heater) as it is not a true tapered pipe thread, none needed on the side with cone washers.
