Broken Day / Night Shade

OK, I have a broken day/night shade in the bedroom of Sunny, and wondered who can help me re-string that stupid thing, or do I just remove them and install good old fashioned roller shades ?

Sue is having me replace ours with these.....................

http://www.justblinds.com/dynamic/pr...fm?productID=2

You can also get them with blackout backing. Sue likes them because nobody can look through the cracks while you are parked in a tight campground where your neighbor is really close. They are also lighter and less likely to cause damage on a rough road. We have them in our house already. They can be made as small as 12" across. Just a thought...................Marshall

blinds...

Kitty, Once you remove the blind you will find it is actually quite easy to replace the string..just need a bit of patience to figure it out. Make sure you buy string that is strong, meant for this application!,or you will be doing it again very soon. I have replaced several and once you do it,you will wonder why you waited! Make sure you do it on a large flat surface.I used a piece of craft wire to help in spots...sorry I can't offer directions--it's just something you have to get into to figure it out--I know YOU can do it!!! Thanks for all the help, I won't get to tackle the shade until Gary & I return from the Diesel Truck Rally in Bowling Green, KY. We are leaving here wednesday when Gary gets off work, hoping to make it as far as Columbus then boon dock for the night. Also, my generator won't start, so we are hoping the new regulator shows up today, as Onan believes it's a regulator failure. SO, if part arrives, Gary will once again unbolt & remove the genny so he can replace the part, re-install it and see if it will start. Keep your finger crossed for us.
