Black water tank stink burp

I have been full timing in the Nashville area by myself for a couple of months now and the past few weeks it has gotten really hot. My temperature readings in the shade in the wheel welds have been mid 90's.

Unless the blackwater tank is nearly empty with 2 packets (instead of one) odor control packets, every time I flush it is like the heat builds up inside and rushes out the hole in the toilet into the RV. It helps a LITTLE, if I flush with the lid closed and put the exhaust fan on after, otherwise the exhaust fan only seems to help bring more stink into the RV during a nano second of flush.

I use the formaldehyde free chemicals because I am sensitive to formaldehyde and I don't like to push too many toxins into the environment. That being said, I am desperate enough to try the hard stuff again, unless anyone else has a suggestion.

I'd be up on the roof checking sure the black tank vent is clear. Somethings when we let the black get to full vent pipe can get clogged. Another thing that can happen is the vent pipe can slip down and be submerged or against bottom of tank. Whatever the problem the tank is not venting properly.

I agree with Jim on the roof top tank vent pipe. If that is clogged over or slide down, that can be an issue.

Also, do not run the fan when flushing. Wait until after the flush. If not, the fan will suck fumes instantly into the camper.

Hot weather can he hard on tank chemicals. I use this brand and it has handled the heat acceptable. In very high heat, I use 2 scoops.

Yeah check the vent it could be clogged, but also check and see if the black has swelled from the heat. It will push up against the vent cover, and will act like pressure relief when the toilet is flushed. Hope this helps

Update

I tried new, good, old fashioned, formaldehyde liquid toilet chemical in a bigger dose, and it seems to have fixed the problem. I was trying to be "green" and I guess there are just some high heat situations you can't do it "green". I tried super dosing with the "green" stuff, and it just did not cut it.

I've had good luck with Happy Camper. It's green also. Haven't been able to find it at RV dealers but readily available online.
