Black Tank

I tried the search engine but couldn't find any threads. I need to know how the 3" pipe with the slide valve is connected to the black tank. Is it what I call a street end inserted into the black tank and then clamped with a sealant around it ? Thanks in advance.

It would be glued into a fitting on the tank itself. I was forced to repair that connection on the T-320SR that we had.
