OK, someone has to say it... I'm not sure you got all the water damaged subfloor out. The discolored area under the linoleum indicates moisture, so, now that you've completed the repair, just keep an eye on those areas of the floor to make sure they aren't getting soft or moldy. More than likely it isn't a lot of water, since that's just the edge of the affected area. But I'm sure you probably got all the wood that's already "soft".

I very much appreciate your concern however the subfloor underneath the stained linoleum is stable and not rotted or moldy. just had enough water to stain the linoleum itself. And i plan on keeping a good eye on it. Again thanks for the concern.

Great! Glad to hear you at least know what you're dealing with. I had a similar issue with my first Sunline, and being brand new to campers, I didn't know that dark stains under the linoleum indicated water damage. Boy did I learn a lesson on that one!

Hi JD,

That floor looks nice! Thanks for sharing.

In case you ever end up in water damage again..... I hope not but in case you do, they make a product called Rot Dr. Wood preservation, rot repair, and restoration using epoxy resin on boats and homes.

The product can be used to rebuild rotted wood and to prevent future dry rot as it kills the fungus. If you have questionable areas of, is it wet or just discolored? This can be used to seal and kill any rot/mold/ and future dry rot once you dried out the wood to start with.

It is amazing what some guys have done to build up timbers with the stuff. I only used it as a sealing/dry rot prevention. And what ever one does, use the respirator they sell. The fumes when it is fresh will knock you out. I never realized how bad they where until after I took off the respirator outside the camper. After about 2 to 3 days the smell was all gone.

Good luck with your new bath room.

John
