Atwood Water heater

I am new to this stuff and I am trying to figure out how to get hot water. I have an Atwood LP water heater(Direct ignition) and the manual says it has an on/off switch. Where is the switch located in a 1996 26' Solaris. I see a switch upfront by the sink (front left corner of the trailer) but it does not say it is for the water heater. Any help would be appreciated.

If the switch by the sink has a light built into it, it is likely the on/of for the hot water heater.

When you turn it on, the light comes on for a few seconds and then goes off. The heater should then light within 15-30 seconds. If it doesn't the light comes back on and stays on. If you recently changed propane tanks, it may take a few cycles of this to purge air from the lines.

Thanks for the info, Steve
