Antenna crank

My antenna handle is broken so I ordered a whole new assembly from ebay. The crankup handle will not work on my vintage Sunny. The newer ones fit a hex shape elevating shaft. Mine is round with a flat spot that accepts the set screw.I am hoping some one of you may have one for me as they just aren't available anymore. Janalee

Take the broken handle to an RV dealer with a decent parts and accessories department. They should be able to match it.

It will help if you don't mention that it's on a Sunline. Because Sunline is no longer in business, RV dealers tend to immediately say they can not help you even though the same items are used on most TT's, regardless of manufacturer. Sad but true. You would think the folks who work with and sell RV's from many different manufacturers would know that many parts are common, but they don't. Sad but true.

Ty Steve for your response but the nearest dealer is about 35 miles away and has already informed me he has only the newer hex style. I really hoped someone here might have parts laying around like I always did! Still hoping--so I can take the vise grips off. Lol! Janalee

The crank you have is a Wingard RP-5895 or RP6795. Both are for hex shafts.

Winegard RP-5000 is for round shafts. There is one up on Ebay right now: Winegard RP 5000 RV TV Antenna Crank Handle White for Round Hex Shaft | eBay

Did you try to fit the hex handle on the round shaft? If it slides on the shaft the setscrew will hold it on. Just use setscrew on flat of hex shaft.

Vise grips was my first choice. they are cheap, come in small sizes, and can be painted to match the decor,

Yes...The hex handle opening is much smaller..the faraway dealer says he found one..it will be awhile until I can get there so for now my little vise grips will do!..
