a black tank seal question

when we were cleaning the tanks i noticed a leak coming from the seam area of where the black tank meets the "exit" valve/pipe. it was obvious that the PO's had done a patch job, so i took off the 2-3 layers of different types of sealants and here is what was underneath. i can't tell since I haven't seen this disassembled but i'm wondering if this is a seal that just needs new cement or if it's the end of the black tank that has some tiny holes in iit. not sure if i'm being clear enough, i'm talking about the right side valve/junction. is that mount on the black tank itself, or does it stand alone? that will tell me what is damaged and what needs to be replaced.

if it is the tank itself, is there any type of sealant i can get at the rv store to fix this? even if not forever, just something that will get me by for a while so i don't have to replace the black tank right away?

thank you very much for any ideas! and if any one has a chance to share their ideas before thursday afternoon i'd be most grateful, since i am scheduled for moving to north carolina mountains friday morning

Once there glued there glued. No taking apart. Is it leaking at joint or is there a crack in pipe or tank? Either way it can be fixed. I fixed a Large crack and holes in mine.
Check out my repair thread. http://www.sunlineclub.com/forums/f7...air-14865.html. Plasti-Mend actualy melts it's self into old ABS makeing it one piece again

i think it may be several tiny holes in the junction and possibly in the edge of the tank at the junction where tank screws into piping. thanks, i'll look through your thread, and see if i can get my hands on the plasti-mend.
