Electric or propane? Makes a huge difference.

If propane, there should be a rocker switch with a red light next to it. Mine was on the wall in the kitchen. With propane turned on, flip the switch. The red light will come on until the burner is running properly. If it runs out of fuel or goes out for any other reason, the red light will come on. Make sure the fuse is good, too.

If electric, you need to have the shoreline connected to a 30 amp supply and the breaker in the trailer turned on. There's a switch somewhere on the backside of the water heater that has to be turned, too. On mine, it was right next to where the 110vac cable goes into the water heater.

How long have you had the trailer?
