Almost all of the RV furnaces are propane only.

One of the earlier messages in this thread pointed to the gas valve on the furnace. You may have to remove the outside cover to locate it make sure it is turned on.

You may also need to determine if your furnace is a pilot light model or auto-ignition. Info on the manuals is below. If it is a pilot model, the pilot needs to be lit before you can fire up the furnace.

Two other things to check: Make sure there's propane in the tanks, and that at least one of them is turned on.

The cold air blowing at first is the furnace purging itself of any propane buildup before it lights itself up.

In the files area is the manual for the Atwood propane furnace. It covers nearly all of the models built over the last 25 years or so. There may be other files there that will help.

http://atwoodmobile.com has other manuals available for download as well.

Hi kylaford

Welcome to Sunline Owners Club.

Steve gave you some good info on where to start.

And yes the furnace runs on propane. There is no electric mode to create heat. Even the last TT's made by Sunline or most all other brands are propane.

Does the stove top work? If the gas is on and the stove top burners are up and running, then you at least know the LP system is 1/2 working.

A 1987 model furnace, well that might be a manual gas valve setup. If you cannot figure it out, post the brand, and model number so we can look it up and better help you.

I don't want to type a page or two on the wrong model number system you have and even more confuse the issue....

The good news is the blower and controls at least run. Since the unit was winterized and you just got it, may not know how long it has been since it was last fired. It would be good to take the outside cover off and look in to make sure there is no large nest of something in there before you fire it off. Spiders, mud dauber bees and mice can create havoc on a camper sitting a long time.

Good luck and hope this helps

John
