Hey All from East TN
Suggestions for good roof sealer, recommend?
We are going to add a AC to it and the roof vent over the dinette appears to be the location, that hopefully is reinforced? Some pics I’ve seen show an AC there.

The cab over has minimal issues one slight leak at passenger window. And driver side wall and ceiling slight soft spots, minor mildew, mold on wall. No smell yet thankfully.

I haven’t fired up anything yet. Previous owner said it’s been winterized. Due to non use since last year.

Is there a detailed checklist, domtec refrige with dual control, heater and water heater propane don’t know if dual?

Sorry to unload just getting started!
Thanks

Here’s a pic of roof and fridge.
Thanks for any advice on roof sealing. I’ve seen Dicor named however is it a certain kind it’s like the cereal isle! Fiber, fiberglass, bytul on and on???
I can’t spend hundreds on a gallon of sealant but if like Heng is $30-50, Dicor $50-130??.
And it’s been mentioned that the roof caulk is different from the seam caulk!!!

TnS,

Check out your other thread. I agreed with John that we weren't sure the picture of the roof showed where you had to fix the tears in the metal. I also posted 2 pics of my old camper that I fixed up the aluminum roof.

Tears

Fortunately the tear isn’t on the roof. Apologies if that’s the way it sounds.
One is one the bulkhead the slides up against the truck, not exposed. The other tear of 2” is just forward from the fridge access panel, in the corner that is made when the cab over makes a 90* down to the front driver side jack

Welcome! You have an aluminum roof on your camper. Dicor is for rubber roofs, which the majority of Sunlines have since they were used from the early 1990s on. I recommend Dyco 20/20 roof sealant, paint it on the seams of your roof and around anything installed on the roof. Basically anywhere there's a seam or screw.

Thanks ordered a gallon of 20/20.
You mentioned every seam, screw, and vent.
Should I cover the beauty cover with 20/20 that is over the hex screws channel? Tried to move a piece of the colored rubber seal and it is somewhat ply-able but has a crack or rip tendency!
Thanks again

Great question! Yes, I would. In fact, it might be a good idea to just replace all that screw cover while you're at it. It's cheap and easy to replace as long as you're sealing the roof. You buy it in a roll, usually 25', and squeeze it into the channel. There are different widths too, so I recommend taking a piece of your old stuff with you to compare.

Sunline usually would cover the horizontal part of that screw cover and trim with roof sealant, and not any farther down the side.

Nah, it was like two gallons. I can't remember the name of the stuff but it was like a thick white paint with maybe fiberglass shavings in it. I used a brush around the edges and skylights and then rolled the rest.
