Our New 1987 C 851 Sportster

This unit came in on trade, ONE owner! He kept her under cover since new! ALL paper work with it, WOW, dry dry dry like new inside
Only issue is the front cabover was damaged by his hay bail pole while moving equipment around to bring it in for the trade.
So the price was right! Had to bring her home!

Serial # 2740 decor is Salmon
More pics of repair to follow!

Not sure if I will keep or resell, DW likes it, said we could tow ours with this one pigggy back!

That's a real gem there!! It's getting really hard to find them in that condition these days.

Is that an original VIN sticker on the back there?

lol, I understand. They were carbon copies too, so they weren't necessarily clear when new either. But it worked out perfect, I got the date just fine!

Wow, that is in pristine condition!!! An 87 unit, 1 owner, stored inside in great shape, no rot? That is a stoke of real good fortune.

Thanks guys,
We did luck into this one, need to test out all systems.
All the outside lights work, except 2 markers, inside all good!
Here is the only spot I have found,in the cabover floor, still solid...

If the wall paper was not wrinkled a little, I would bet some one wet the bed!

H'mm, OK, did you put a window in the place of the siding rip?

I do not see the clearance light across the top of the 1st pic with the rip and trying to fill in the missing pieces. As they show up above the window in the after pic.

It does look good how ever you rearranged it. Thanks for sharing.

So are you going to keep it?

Well, not sure what all works,It's in such good shape, but I have not had time to get everything checked out. I have had a big suprise, the cooling unit is gone, so 600.00 + to fix, the water sys is winterized.
I think it's fine. I'm lucky I can fix her up !

All in working order , for a club member...2600 , as is 2000 obo
